Vertical Alliance Group
Launches New Website
CSA2010.com
Texarkana, TX (MMD Newswire) July 9, 2009 -- Vertical
Alliance Group, Inc. (VAG) (www.verticalag.com)
of Texarkana, TX, a nationally recognized leader in providing consulting and
training services to the trucking industry, has established CSA2010.com (www.CSA2010.com),
a website designed to help motor carriers learn about the Federal Motor Carrier
Safety Administration's (FMCSA) new Comprehensive Safety Analysis 2010 (CSA2010)
initiative
CSA2010 is a major Federal Motor Carrier Safety
Administration (FMCSA) initiative to improve the effectiveness of the Agency's
compliance and enforcement programs. Its goal is to achieve a greater reduction
in large truck and bus crashes, injuries, and fatalities, while maximizing the
resources of FMCSA and its State partners.
CSA2010 will grade motor carriers and individual drivers on
seven categories, or BASICs, and their scores will determine what action the
FMCSA will take to bring the carrier and their drivers into compliance.
CSA2010.com contains a wealth of information, some from the
FMCSA, some from state departments of transportation, and some from carriers who
have gone through the initial test phase of the CSA2010 assessments. On the
site, users will find comprehensive information about how the FMCSA will assess
carriers under the new initiative, as well as the consequences that both
carriers and individual drivers could face, if found out of compliance.
In addition, the site offers information about VAG's
trademarked Infinit-i Intelligence System (www.infinit-i.net),
as a way for carriers and drivers to demonstrate documented implementation of a
measurable, results-oriented safety training plan, required under the new
initiative.
Kirk Lohse, Director of Marketing for VAG indicated that CSA
2010 was going to be incredibly comprehensive in its scope. "Prior to CSA2010,
only about 8% of motor carriers nationwide were reviewed each year. Under this
new initiative, all carriers and drivers will be assessed and there are strict
penalties for being out of compliance. As a company that has been providing
consulting and safety training to the trucking industry for over a decade now,
it was important to Vertical Alliance Group that we respond, and publish a site
where companies and drivers could get their questions answered and find the
training solutions they need to comply with the CSA2010 mandates.
Lohse went on to say that "we bought this URL
the instant that we learned about the new FMCSA initiative, and
we believe that acquisition of this domain name is going to help
our company better serve our existing clients as well as help
companies across the country and in Canada, adapt and
proactively prepare for CSA2010 in order to minimize fines,
interventions, and corrective action plans. With CSA2010 going
into full effect nationwide just 12 months from now, we hope
that carriers and drivers needing information and help with the
mandate will use this site and give VAG the opportunity to
assist them in making the changes necessary to comply with CSA
2010."
