Announces Adoption

of New Web

Technology

Vertical Alliance Group, Inc. (VAG) (www.verticalag.com), a nationally recognized leader in providing customized information delivery systems – online-based solutions that allow companies to deliver, track and manage virtually any type of information, today announced that it is one of the first companies that have begun web content creation with Microsoft’s new Silverlight 3, a framework for providing rich applications to the Internet browser. Notable other companies are MGM, NBC Sports and Continental Airlines.

Brad Pruitt, CIO for VAG indicated that the company plans to rollout the first of its Silverlight 3 websites beginning in December.

Kirk Lohse, VAG Director of Marketing said that, “This is a huge boon to our Infinit-i online information delivery system and to our website creation efforts as a whole. Silverlight will enable us to deliver higher quality video, including HD, to clients, regardless of their browser choice and computing platform. Previous to our adoption of Silverlight, users were limited to PCs running Internet Explorer. With many school districts using Macintosh computers, our ability to work with them was limited.”

“With Silverlight 3, we can stream even better quality video to both Macs and PCs and users can access our materials via Safari and Firefox, as well as Internet Explorer. Being able to deliver content cross- platform and without browser limitations will open up many new markets for us and we look forward to serving those who were previous unable to fully utilize our systems.”, Pruitt said.
